A new collaboration between Kresus and Tools for Humanity (TFH) has been revealed. As a team, World ID will be integrated into the Kresus App, a cryptocurrency and NFT application available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. As stated in the formal statement released, Kresus Labs will also collaborate with TFH on technical execution and offer advice on product strategy.

Users may easily and securely simplify transfers using the Kresus App’s variety of identification tools and Web3.kresus address.

Trevor Traina, the founder and chairman of Kresus Labs explained:

“The goal of Kresus has always been to offer a tool for everyone to benefit from the blockchain. This is more than just dabbling in crypto since identity touches on all future use cases of Web3 technologies. Proof of personhood will become an essential component of the Web3 ecosystem.”

Traina added:
“As such, this collaboration is an excellent enhancement to the work we have already done in supporting Web3 identity.”

The collaboration with Kresus has surfaced after TFH disclosed a change for its iris-scanning orb architecture. The CEO and co-founder of TFH, Alex Blania, compared the future version to a “Apple product” in an interview with Techcrunch. The Worldcoin system has handled a whopping 3 million unique users as of January 16, 2024.

The World App surged to the top of Portugal’s financial rankings in December 2023, and it also took second place in Spain. The project’s native cryptocurrency, worldcoin (WLD), however, has seen a 40% decrease in value during the last 30 days.

More details on using World ID to access the Kresus App will be released “in due course,” as per the statement made on Monday.

The CEO and co-founder of TFH, Alex Blania stated:

“It is exciting to see another quality wallet developer team integrating World ID and joining the World App ecosystem. Through this collaboration, our teams expect to learn a lot from each other in terms of product strategy and technical implementation over the coming months.”
