TheGrayscaleDigitalLargeCapFund,acryptoindexportfoliocreatedin2018,includespopularcryptocurrencieslikeBitcoin,Ethereum,andSolanaalongsideotheraltcoins.Theapplicationfollowsthefirm’srecentOct.16filingtoconvertthefundintoanETF.

Ifapproved,theGrayscaleDigitalLargeCapFundETFwouldintroduceinvestorstoamixedbasketofdigitalassets,positioningitselfasamoreinclusivealternativetotraditionalBitcoinorEther-focusedETFs.

TheproposedfundstandsoutfromcompetitorsbytrackingtheCoinDeskLargeCapSelectIndex,whichincludesfivedistinctdigitalassets,offeringabroaderapproachforthoseseekingexposurebeyondBTCandETH.

Thefundcurrentlyholdsapproximately$565millioninassetsundermanagement(AUM).

Grayscale’scompetitionincludesofferingsfromHashdexandFranklinTempleton,bothofwhichhavefiledforindexETFsthatwouldinitiallyfocusonBitcoinandEtheralone.

Additionally,VanEck,21Shares,andCanaryCapitalhavesubmittedmultiplefilingstolistspotETFsconnectedtoSolana,XRP,andLitecoin.

IndustryanalystssuggestthattheoutcomeoftheupcomingUSpresidentialelectioncouldsignificantlyimpacttheregulatorylandscapeforcryptoETFs.
